Hello, I’m Alyssa Spear and a current Senior in High School.  I am so excited to expand my writing to a wider audience.  I blog for the online AOL Patch and have enjoyed writing from a young age.  Growing up in a world with the internet, social networking, and technology has greatly interested me in the turn journalism is taking.

Aside from my passion for writing, in my free time I enjoy dancing, acting, volunteering, being a part of my schools leadership and just being active!  I also love shopping, snowboarding, going to the beach, Disneyland, Sprinkles Cupcakes, and traveling.  I love seeing the unique spark each new place around the world has to offer.
